Ground Floor Flat, Queens Park
A complex ground floor renovation project, stripping back the property in order to resolve existing issues including serious rising damp, structural issues requiring Party Wall agreements as well as remodelling of the interior layout. Walls were removed to open up the back room into a kitchen/living space and a large back door added leading out onto new decking. The garden was remodelled including building new planter beds, new fencing and decking as well as new lighting, and repointing the back of the property. The bathroom walls were rebuilt and repositioned to add space and resolve some structural support issues. Working closely with the property owner on the design details a number of bespoke built in cupboards and storage units were crafted and painted in tonal colours using Farrow and Ball paints. Graphic tiles were used on the bathroom floor which contrasted beautifully to the solid Wenge worktops. A simple, modern kitchen was installed and finished with solid Wenge worktops, a ceramic butler sink and designer tap. New timber flooring was fitted throughout. By adding column radiators, sash windows and refurbishing original doors, we gave a nod to the history of this Victorian property.
